Do you have any tips on how to generally add brilliant shine to brunette hair?…

We love Shine and Smooth made by Enjoy. It Eliminates frizziness. Makes hair soft and silky without weighing it down. Adds incredible shine and smoothness to any style or hair type. Great for hair and skin. Locks in moisture, blocks out humidity. What more can a girl asks for during our humid Nebraska summers!

We also suggest, Moroccan Oil which smoothes texture and adds great shine to frizzy, dry hair.

Both of these products have UV filters to protect your hair condition and hair color against the damaging effects of UV rays.

Reve Salon also offers a process known as a cellophane treatment. A cellophane treatment consists of covering the hair with a long-term shine product. The product is left on the hair usually for less than half an hour and then rinsed out. Your hair will have incredible shine and silkiness for four to six weeks. I personally have had this done in Nebraska & Nevada and loved the results!

So go ahead a treat yourself :)

Hair Loss, Please Advise!

On average we lose 100 strands of hair a day, and this can increase during warmer months.
Excessive hair loss can be a result of many things, including stress, poor diet, age, and menopause and using damaging hair accessories (like hair elastics etc). Some women experience hair loss during pregnancy.
Hair loss can also be a result of illness, so if you are really worried and you can see your scalp through your hair, then I’d suggest asking your doctor.
If your hair loss isn’t too serious, then you might just benefit from increasing your vitamin intake to help hair growth. Vitamin B, C, E, A and K are all needed for healthy hair. The best way for us to advise you is for you to stop in and receive a complimentary hair analysis, that way we can test your hair and advise you on what to use at home as a daily regimen.

Thank’s for the great question, don’t worry your not alone, call us anytime or just stop in, were here to help!

Highlights and Swimming

While I don’t advise jumping into the pool immediately following the highlighting service, the amount of time you need to wait depends on the condition of your hair following the service. After a hair color or highlighting service, the hair is usually conditioned to help seal the cuticle layer. This helps to prevent fading and lock in moisture to keep the hair from becoming dry and brittle. If your hair is in good condition following the highlighting, you should be fine to go swimming. Just remember to rinse the hair with fresh water and condition the hair after you come out of the pool. You can also visit us at Reve Salon & Spa and ask for one of our “anti-chlorine” shampoos and conditioners that will help to remove the chlorine from your hair after swimming.

Have Fun Swimming & Enjoy the Summer!
