Here are some tips to prevent dry scalp:
Avoid too hot of water when showering, the heat can really affect your scalp. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated; this also will help your scalp from drying out. A product you might want to try is Tonic Lotion by Bumble & Bumble. It detangles, softens, soothes scalp with Tea Tree Oil and Peppermint Extracts.

Product is a main key! Use a professional strengthening or silkening shampoo/conditioner. Professional retail does not have wax content like over-the-counter products do. When blow-drying use a flat/round brush when hair is 75-80% dry, this will give it a sleeker shiny look. Always use a shine spray before using any kind of curling or flat iron. This spray will prime the hair not using a shine spray can cause damage such as split ends.

Typically waxing is done every 2-4 weeks for facial hair and every 4-6 weeks for body hair. If this schedule is kept, the amount of hair and it’s thickness will reduce naturally. The hair will grow back slower and will be finer and thinner each time.

There are several products available today that are billed as ‘hair thickening formulas - sprays, gels, mousses, shampoos and conditioners - and all work in one of two ways to achieve a thickening effect. Some of these products are designed to simply adhere to the outer layer of the hair shaft, adding an extra layer to the hair, making it feel and look thicker. Others are formulated to actually lift the cuticle layer of the hair and swell the hair shaft to achieve the thickening. Both types of product work, as long as you use them with realistic expectations. I have fine hair and I use a product called BLOWOUT made by Sudzz fx, I definitely recommend it!

One of the things that often works best in these cases is the use of rinse-through conditioner after shampooing, and daily leave-in conditioner as well as smoothing serums and anti-frizz balms. It often takes multiple products used in conjunction to properly weigh-down the hair. Please stop in at Reve Salon & Spa & we will be happy to customise a hair regimen for you!

This tip works for both natural and “bottle blondes.” A blue-or violet-hued shampoo will help counteract unwanted brassiness and brighten light tones .The Blonde Glam line by Redken works really well.
Deep Condition:If you’re lightening your hair, it’s probably in need of a weekly deep conditioner. I personally love the Pureology Line!
Do not forget your Shine: Blond hair often lacks shine. Bring back the healthy glow with a shine and color enhancing product such as:
Ultra shine complex- Aquage
Adds exceptional gloss to all hair types especially dull, dry, coarse or frizzy hair.
Beyond shine - Aquage
Ultra-light silicone polish delivers long-lasting shine while silkening and polishing.

Professional products are not sold to the mass market by manufacturers. They get there by shady dealings, and the consumer ends up paying the price.
The next time you see professional hair products show up on the shelves of your local drug or grocery store, You should know that your favorite brand did not end up there directly from the manufacturer.
Professional salon products that are sold outside of salons are called “diverted products.”
FOX News reported June 10, 2006 that counterfeit hair care products independently analyzed were found to have dangerously high levels of toxic bacteria and other impurities—enough to make a person sick and require medical attention.

On average we lose 100 strands of hair a day, and this can increase during warmer months.
Excessive hair loss can be a result of many things, including stress, poor diet, age, and menopause and using damaging hair accessories (like hair elastics etc). Some women experience hair loss during pregnancy.
Hair loss can also be a result of illness, so if you are really worried and you can see your scalp through your hair, then I’d suggest asking your doctor.
If your hair loss isn’t too serious, then you might just benefit from increasing your vitamin intake to help hair growth. Vitamin B, C, E, A and K are all needed for healthy hair. The best way for us to advise you is for you to stop in and receive a complimentary hair analysis, that way we can test your hair and advise you on what to use at home as a daily regimen.
Thank’s for the great question, don’t worry your not alone, call us anytime or just stop in, were here to help!
